DRAFT - Minutes of Meeting

Quadring Village Hall – 9th January 2022 @ 7.00pm

Public Forum

Member of the public attended to raise queries with regard to the Quadring Fen Village Hall and intention for its future.  Cllr Bingham ran through what is happening so far, that we were still investigating possibilities.  Asking the member of the public if she had any suggestion for use these would be gratefully received.  Member of public then left the meeting.

One member of the public was in attendance.

3.      Declarations of Interest

No declarations although Cllr Bingham would not be taking part in minuted Application iii of the Planning Applications due to previous involvement in the site. 

4.   Approval of Minutes of Meeting of 21st November 2022 and any updates to those Minutes   .

Minutes approved. 

5.   Chairmans and Clerks Report to include any correspondence received.

•   Parish Burial Capacity – Clerk to contact Quadring Church for current capacity.
•   Website – Clerk to liaise with website management to update site.
 
6.   Park Update

No updates regarding park.  

Cllr Bingham is to make a donation of £2,100.00 from Councillors SHDC Budget to replace and repair equipment in the park. Cllr Rycroft-Jones thanked him on behalf of the Council.

7.   Planning Applications

i)   H15 – 1177 -22  - Land off Main road, Quadring, Details of Estate Road and Footways finished surface levels and external gas and electricity boxes (conditions 6 & 12 of H15-0203-19)  -Platform Housing Group -  Undecided (on hold)

Comments to be made that the road is incredibly narrow when entering the site.

ii)   H15-1127-22 – Proposed Wall to front Boundary – Miaows, Sarahgate Lane, Quadring – Mr C Lawrence – Decision by 16.01.23

Not objected but condition that the wall is stepped back far enough from the road to allow safety of cars passing one another.

iii)   H15-0894-22 – Crossroads Nurseries Main Road, Quadring - Details of Scheme to deal with contamination, written scheme of archaeological investigation, management & maintenance schedule for areas of landscaping, incidental open space, refuse/recycling collection points & parking courts/private drives, scheme of construction management and existing & proposed site levels & proposed site levels & floor levels of buildings, hard surface areas & garden amenity areas (conditions 3,5,10,11 & 13 of H15-0014-22) – Stinders Homes SPV1 Ltd – Decision by 03.02.23.

No comments were made.

9.   Clerks Pay Decision – Mrs Armstrong-Taylor left the room during discussions, Pay decision approved as of April.

11.       Street Naming – Rear of 131 Main Road

 Road name suggestions were discussed with 5 suggestions being put forward, these were Robinson Way, Sybil View, Crosby Close, Leverton Close/Way, George Close/Way

Dog bins in Caswell Drive and Boyfields need emptying, clerk to contact Environmental services.
