Minutes of Meeting 

Quadring Village Hall – 21st February 2022 @ 7.00pm


1.   Present

3.   Declarations of Interest

None

4.   Approve minutes of last meeting plus updates

Approved.

5.   Chairs remarks and clerk report to include correspondence.

None received.

6.   Park Update

No updates.  Inspection booked at £170.00.

7.   Planning Applications

a.  H15-0081-22 – 50 St Margarets, Quadring – Single storey side and rear extension – received 31.01.22 – No observations or objections met.

8.   Any further application since drawing up of Agenda?

None

9.   Payments

a)   £57 Bac accounting – Agreed

b)   Clerks wages

c)   Playground inspection £170.

d)   Query grass cutting.

10.   Jubilee Celebrations

Kay Wood and Elizabeth Stott joined the meeting to discuss the upcoming Jubilee Celebrations to be help In June on Sunday 5th.  See separate sheet with proposals.  They asked if Counsel could fund the Tree, Plaque  and get the highway permission, to which all was agreed.   DAT to look into whether or not there is a specific tree requested by the queen for planting .  The committee will be looking for further support at a meeting on 1st March.

11.   Bus Service

The Saturday bus service is continuing to be inadequate. AJ is in contact with Brylaine and will forward any information as and when received.

12.   Any Other Business

Bridget Scaise had requested a seat by the bus stop.  Nothing had happened since Malc Stacey had been Clerk.  The parish has no objections to the seat being installed but Bridget was to supply more details.  HB had not had any messages or emails from her.  SP will let her know the current position and ask her to specify what it is she is requesting, where it will go and size.

GS Hughes lorries are coming through the village when they shouldn’t be.  HB will chase this and report to Jane King.

Query over the Orchard planting in Casswell Drive that had been posted in the media.  There have been 6 fruit trees planted already in the patch of ground in Casswell Drive, this has been no cost to the Parish.

The fallen tree down the school path is being moved.  

Unknown Donors- There is a trust fund for 3 lots of land wherein rental payment are split and distributed between Donington Gosberton & Quadring.  They have previously had two meetings a year but there has been nothing for the past two years.  We require three members to attend, HB & DB are already sitting, SRJ was nominated and seconded to become the third member.  DAT to chase Diane Fairweather – Clerk to Donington Parish – for next meeting of Unknown Donors.
