QUADRING PARISH COUNCIL
A meeting of Quadring parish council was held on Monday 19th of July 2021 at 7pm in st Margret’s hall quadring
Minutes
1. Apologies for absence-none
2. Minutes of last meeting –spelling mistakes on Cllr names was apologized for
3. Declarations of interest – councilor Bingham had a planning app to be discussed
4. Chairman’s remarks and clerk report to include correspondence. - Training had been billed by mistake
5. Planning matters
H15-0575-21 4 Watergate quadring extension render-support
H15- 0726-21 crossroads nurseries condition compliance-support (councilor Bingham left the room during discussion)
H15-0719-21 hawthorn farm south drove replacement roof covering- support
6. Accounts- accounts for 19\20 and 20/21 signed off
7. Agars- signed and agreed to be advertised between 20th July and 20th august
8. Payments grass cutting £768 sneaths, pkf £528-agreed reason of fine due to agar none submission for last year explained due to clerk illness
9. Expenditure- due to rising costs due to clerk resignation and fine council to look at cost savings for the year.
10. Bin update- district councilor and clerk to put a complaint in on missed bins as it is happening on a weekly basis
11. Report from Councilor Rycroft new councilor training- training was useful and brought forward points to address recommended to other councilors as a refresher, how the contribution to the church yard upkeep is documented was to be looked at to be clearer.
12. Park inspection- clerk to get quotes for a park safety inspection
13. Footpaths- church footpath blocked to be chased up by clerk, boyfields footpath not cut but lcc were to cut
14. Sign update- repainted sign was to cost £150 it was felt the current replacement would suffice for now.
15. New clerk- one application was received, job to be advertised till the next meeting then interviews to follow.
16. Code of conduct sign off for the year- signed off previously
17. Grass cutting- caswell drive verge and school footpath to be moved to 4 week cut.
18. Any other business- Bedford bridge to be replaced clerk to forward better diversion plan to highways and ask if timing can be moved as it is a busy time of year in the area when proposed. It was agreed Cllr Jackson was to take care of old paperwork in the short term.
19. Agenda items for next meeting and date- next meeting will be held 31st of august on a Tuesday due to bank holiday
