A Meeting of Quadring Parish Council was held by Zoom, on Wednesday 18th. November 2020.  All Parish Councillors were involved except Coun T. Diggins, who tendered his apologies.
Coun Mrs Hawkes was appointed Chairman after being proposed by Coun Beehoo and seconded by Coun Plummer. Also Coun Jackson
proposed Coun Bingham for Chairman, seconded by Coun Young.   Coun Hawkes was elected by a vote of 4 to 2.  Coun Hawkes proposed Coun Bingham for Vice-Chairman, seconded by Coun Beehoo.  This was carried unanimously.   Coun Mrs Hawkes thanked the Council and also the out-going Chairman Coun Clifft for his time in the Chair.
It was decided at this time that because of the virus the 6 month non-attendance record would not apply.
The Minutes of the last Meeting were read out and verified, to be signed at a later date.
The Cowley and Browns Charity appointments were to continue en-bloc.
The broken footpath bridges had been repaired.   The new Playing Field had been put on hold be the SHDC, in view of the on-going situation.    No further complaints had been received regarding the Boston College bus situation.  Fly-tipping in South Drove had been reported, with names supplied, but nothing had materialised.
All BACs payments since the last Meeting were verified.
There had been some progress on the Salem Burial Site, but as yet there had been no news of the donation from Broadgate Builders.    It was thought that the grass cutting in the village would be more expensive in the next financial year.  The Clerk was to try to get some quotes in.
After a proposal by Coun Bingham seconded by Coun Rycroft-Jones the Council decided unanimously to have a dog bin near to the Casswell's Drive Playing Field.  The Clerk was to order.
With a view to having more expense with grass cutting it was decided to increase the Precept by £1000 for the coming year.   This would make the precept £9000.  This was carried after a proposal by Coun Jackson seconded by Counc Clifft. Voting was unanimous.
Footpath No 2 had been fenced, but as this path was not in use and had not been used for a number of years, no further action was to be taken.
Couns Bingham and Jackson were thanked for their recent activities in putting up poppies on telegraph poles through the village and the erection of a soldier figure to commemorate Armistice Day.
The next Zoom Meeting will take place on Monday 11th. January 2021, at 7.00p.m.  Coun Hawkes would furnish details of signing.   The Agenda was to include details of the LALC costs for membership for next year if possible.

M.V.Stacey (Clerk to the Parish Council).
