February 2018

QUADRING PARISH COUNCIL.

“Rossett”, Towndam Lane, Donington,
Nr Spalding, Lincs. PE11 4TR.

A Meeting of the above Parish Council was held on Monday the 19th. February 2018 under the Chairmanship of Coun. M. Clifft.
Before the Meeting commenced. The Council held a minutes silence in respect of the late Coun Robert Clark.
The Clerk reported that he had been in touch with the Road Safety Partnership, regarding speeding traffic, and had been informed that owing to restructuring nothing would be done until April at the earliest. The Clerk was to have another word with Firth's regarding the mole problem on the Playing Field.
The Clerk had spoken to Dawson's about the grass cutting in the village, and had received prices. Until all prices had been verified, both from the SHDC and Dawsons, it was decided to let Dawsons carry on with their cutting and then to ask the SHDC for their prices. An idea, regarding the Parish Council buying the pieces of grass, which needed cutting, was put forward, but it was decided that this would cause untold problems and dismissed.
Coun Marshall had decided to relinquish his position as Vice- Chairman, owing to work-load. He proposed a motion that Coun Mrs Hawkes take over. This was seconded by Coun Mrs Plummer and carried. This was to take place from October.
PCSO Abbotts told the Council, that since the last Meeting, there had been a tree damaged on the Main Road, an in-house theft also on Main Road, a social media problem and hare coursing on North Drove, where a white Honda CRV had gone through some gates.
A plan from Mr Burdall was put before the Council, who thought that there would be no problem, if the toilet block was placed further away from a nearby house. A plan from Mr Moore, of 88 Watergate, met with disapproval, as the proposed etc was to be erected behind someone's house and was likely to cause a noise and dust problem.
There was also a thought that this could be used as an industrial workshop.
A cheque value £120 made out to Hags SMP for the Playing Field check-up was signed.
Complaints were made regarding mud on the road towards Donington were made. It was thought that this was caused by a farmer who was

carting sugar beet. The Clerk was to speak to them about this. The SHDC were to be asked to supply a road sweeper.
